prof.dr. (H.C.) Henk Moll

Henk Moll (1952) was a professor of natural resources in relation to sustainable production at the Dutch Center for Energy and Environment (IVEM) of the University of Groningen.

February 29, 2016 he retired.

Moll Career

Moll graduated as a physicist and promoted in 1993.

He conducted a lot of practical environmental research both local and international in cooperation with other disciplines like psychology and governance.

Moll is an expert on the development and application of methods and models to study energy and material consumption.

In his opinion, natural gas is outdated and we should make the move towards geothermal heat pumps.

“we need to change our energy consumption patterns not because of a threatening shortage of energy resources but because of the damaging effects of greenhouse gasses on the climate and other environmental impacts of energy generation. We still have a long way to go changing our society. It’s the big question if nature will wait for us.”
