Carbon Club is organizing two events in November in Rotterdam

November 15, 2018

Industrie wil CO2-opslag
Industrie wil CO2-opslag
De R&D-investeringen in Nederland lopen achter op die van andere landen. Het zou helpen als er meer geïnvesteerd wordt in bio-energie en de afvang en opslag van CO2, volgens ECN.

The Carbon Club is inviting you for a meeting in Rotterdam.

Session on CCU & CCS (29 Nov) | session on CCU & electrification (15 Nov 2018)

This one is about the event November 29, 2018

  • November 29 2018

Thema’s Carbon Club

  • How do we optimize carbon capture, transport, storage and usage in the Netherlands?
  • How do we let synergies between CCS and CCU push the most innovative CO2 system in the world?
  • What potential can be found in the cooperation between network partners of the CO2 Smart Grid?

Are you interested in these topics or have a question to be answered in this field, then the Carbon Club session on 29 November in your place to be. We wil organise this one in collaboration with CATO & TKI Nieuw Gas.

The Carbon Club is one of the outcomes of the CO2 Smart Grid program. It is the business community that generates new business opportunities and connects the unusual suspects from within and outside the CO2 Smart Grid network.

During the fall of this year the Carbon Club will organise three meetings. The third session is the synergy between CCU & CCS and will take place on 29 November 2018. Our host for this event is Futureland in Rotterdam.

The outline of the program can be found below.

13.30 | Walk-in
14.00 | Opening: setting the scene. Situation overview on the topic of synergies between CCU & CCS
14.10 | Presentation of 3 challenges
15.00 | Discussion of the challenges in groups
16.00 | Recap per table – challenger gives a summary on his most important learnings
16.30 | Network
17.30 | Closure

We would like to emphasize that this meeting is not one where you sit back and just absorb the information that is shared. We are asking for an active participation during the discussion part. The setup is rather fluid and organic, so all you need to bring is a fresh mind and and a smile on your face.

Session 3 – An important question for you upfront

The challenges are the core of the meeting. We are interested to hear what your challenges are connected to the synergies between CCU and CCS? What question(s) do you have? Which “unusual suspect” do you need to complete your business proposition?

You can share your challenge during the registration process. In case you have no challenge to share, you are very much invited to fulfill the role of unusual suspect in solving the challenges of others.

Session 1: Mineralization of CO2

Last Thursday 18 October we organized the first Carbon Club session at the Bouwcampus of TU Delft. We are looking back on a successful launch of the Carbon Club. Challengers and participants engaged in lively discussions, business opportunities were identified and new partnerships were initiated, before, during ánd after the event.
